The Police Based Victim Service program provides the following services to victims of crime living in the Gold River area:

  • Criminal justice information and support
  • Safety planning
  • Information and referrals
  • Emotional and practical support

Gold River PEACE Program - access: Open to Gold River community

The Gold River PEACE program stands for prevention, education, advocacy and counselling and is available to children and youth ages 3 to 18 who have been exposed to and/or witnessed domestic violence/abuse in the Gold River area. The PEACE program provides short term education, information and supportive counselling on an individual and group basis to children and youth who have witnessed or experienced abuse. Children must be living in a safe environment away from the abusive person. Children and youth are provided with education and information regarding abuse and personal rights and responsibilities.
